There is a marvellous collection of birds of prey that perform a first class display with mesmerising birds soaring through the sky at full speed, learn about them and meet their adorable chicks in a unique setting with the best views of the Malaga coastline.  It is an art that has been passed down from generation to generation in countries all over the world that have a tradition of falconry.

I would highly recommend this trip, where you can discover the coastline from a bird’s-eye perspective.  The cable car ride itself is exhilarating and if you pick the right day (by far the best day is immediately after there has been plenty of wind, that has shifted the pollution haze)

Your ride on the Teleférico Benalmádena starts in Benalmádena, where you will find the modern departure station, which gives you access to the cable cars and the start of an exclusive 15-minute, 3 km journey on which you’ll discover unique views of the Costa del Sol.
The first part of the route gives us an overview of Arroyo de la Miel and Benalmádena Costa, two of the towns that make up Benalmádena. As we get further away from the town and climb towards Monte Calamorro, the panoramic view widens to give us a fantastic view of Benalmádena, revealing the shape of the Malaga coastline and providing views of a unique landscape that gives us the chance to see how the blue of the sea and the blue of the sky merge together.

The journey ends at the Teleférico Benalmádena arrival station, located 769 metres above sea level. Nevertheless, the adventure is not over, once we leave the cable car that has taken us to the top of Monte Calamorro, a full range of leisure activities awaits us.

In addition, the slopes of Monte Calamorro offer an extensive display of the botanical richness of this typically Mediterranean area.

The views to the south and the west are truly awe inspiring. Catch it clear enough and you can see Gibraltar and the coast of Africa from the miradors that are well signed.

The top of Mount Calamorro is the highest point in Benalmádena. It is located at an altitude of almost 800 metres above sea level, so from up here you can enjoy the breathtaking scenery laid out at your feet and  from its summit you can enjoy the best views of the Costa del Sol, Sierra Nevada and, on clear days, Gibraltar and the African Coast. You can spend hours and hours breathing in the fresh air and enjoying nature while taking in the views.  Hiking trails and Mountain Bike tracks are well marked
