I called in back then to see if he wanted to become involved with Benal-life.com (Pre facebook, Pre Trip Advisor, and we had this covered with a busy forum and our own review section). He sent us on our way telling us that he had plenty enough customers and didn’t want anymore. I have never been back!
After a visit by Steve Kilmartin on December 13th 2013 who says:
The owner of this bar is the most obnoxious man we have had the misfortune to meet. He was extremely rude because we called in after 10 p.m.!!! He informed us he wasn’t serving anymore as he was closing and as we started to walk away he shouted that we had had all night to call in and then said we most probably wouldn’t call again but he wasn’t bothered as he was making his money?!!! There was no need for this outburst and it was humiliating in front of the other customers, we have an apartment across from the bar and visit 3 times a year and we will take great pleasure when we stroll past sometimes in a group of ten to twelve of us that always go away together (that in itself is a nice bar order) it will serve him right when this bar shuts for good !!!!! He does not deserve your custom! No wonder the bar is nearly always empty.
