f you have been the victim of a crime in spain and you do not speak spanish, and you don’t understand the system you do not need to be put off because you can still report the crime in ENGLISH – FRENCH – ITALIAN or GERMAN.

You need to call this number BETWEEN 8:00 AM AND 10:00 PM  after reporting the crime you nominate a National Police Station where you MUST go within 48 hours to sign the report and pick up your copy, and the refererence number that will be required by your insurance company.

and is open between 9:00 and 2:00 and makes use of an answerphone out of hours, which gives information about emergency services.  I f you have lost your passport or had it stolen you should report it to the police as quickly as possible although the consulate will be able to issue an emergency passport and offer advice
