Taberna Didi was visited on 12th May 2019 by the webmaster@benal-life.com whose email address has been verified, and who says:

Out walking yesterday we decided to give the new “Didi’s” a try. We sat at a table on the terrace, very comfortably furnished and waited, and waited. Eventually a waiter turned up we asked for the menu and a wine list. We waited and waited eventually he returned with the wine list (No menu) we selected our wine from a well priced comprehensive choice. We waited a good while for his return and after some spent making sure he understood which bottle of wine I had requested he wen off. We waited and we waited eventually returned to apologise that the wine we requested was out of stock. Rather that let him run off again I quickly selected a wine I knew that they would have.

To save any more repetition remember the words “waited” and “eventually” they are an important part of this review and once I had a glass of wine in my hand the waiting mattered less. We never did see a copy of the menu but as we had read the A board menu’s on the street we knew what we wanted and slipped the food order with another waiter who was delivering to the table next door.

They have an interesting menu with quite o lot of items that we do not expect to find on the surrounding franchise cafe bars. Well cooked and tasty enough. The bill was pleasantly low and the waiters very pleasant and I am sure that their inefficiency was purely due to the fact that it is a new business and they are still getting to grips with it. So having read this review you might be surprised to rate Didi’d highly and recommend it highly. Just don’t be in a hurry. Note: I tipped well.
