Jan, Terry and Scott are easy to find in the heart of Arroyo de la Miel with a front entrance and patio on the Av Garcia Lorca (close to the Manferga roundabout) and backing on to a large safe, sunny terrace facing Mezquita Square and adjacent to the biggest and best childrens playground in the area.
Arroyo de la Miel is the commercial area for Benalmadena Costa and is where the real people live and shop – This is where you will find all of the best shops at “locals” prices – Here also is the railway station connecting you to Fuengirola and Malaga. with all stops along the way. The Friday market and the Sunday market at Tivoli World. So don’t get stuck on the beach come on up the hill and visit Spanish Spain.Inside the spacious bar there is ample seating in a wonderful Spanish rustic ambience with hunting trophies, farm tools and implements adorning the walls – The Spanish theme is followed with the provision of a wide range of tapas ( spanish style snacks ) that we have developed for British palates. In spite of the Spanish feel Jan and Terry hale from the heart of the Midlands and look forward to the pleasure of meeting and serving you wherever you are from.

and says, ”We visited this lovely Bar after it had been recommend on Trip Advisor. 4 of us eat in The Vine 3 times, we had different meals on every occasion and to be honest couldn’t fault anything we eat. On our last visit we all had the Cod and Chips, we have over the years had this meal many times but this was the best by a mile. The owners Terry and Jan, you couldn’t meet a nicer and welcoming couple. The 4 of us included 3 generations youngest been 9 years old, were all made to feel comfortable and relaxed. Terry even took a photo of my Grandson at the Pool table with a Cup and a Cue in each hand it truly made his day and ours as well. Next time we are in Benalmadena this will be our first port of call.”

Food is always lovely and not expensive. Drink is cheap and there are no half measures in this bar, I can tell you! Great for sport, if you want to watch the match etc. The decor is traditional Spanish style and they have a spacious sun kissed terrace at the rear of the bar. and says, ”I cannot praise The Vine highly enough. I have never felt so welcome in any bar around the world (and I have frequented a few). The friendly manner of Terry, Jan and Scott just makes you want to go back time after time (and we did).
The bar is ideal if you have kids as there is a pool table in the bar and a large kids park outside next to the terrace. There are also pub games such as dominoes available.
The food is lovely, large portions of home cooked food. I would recommend the fish and chips and the lasagne.
Sky Sports is on in the bar and Terry makes sure that he shows every available Premier League game.
We thoroughly enjoyed our nights in The Vine and can’t wait until next year when we will make many return visits.

The food is lovely, always of very good quality amd well priced as are the drinks. Terry and Jan have a teenage son Scott who is a keen footballer, he is very sociable and it has been great to watch his progress. Whether you are in spain as a couple, with a group of friends or on your own there is always a warm and friendly welcome for you at The Vine. This is great place to enjoy sport on the big screen. Terry also organises golf days which are great fun.
Terry and Jan are also a wealth of information having lived in the area for many years and are always happy to help in any way possible. and says, ”Terry, Jan and Scott were very friendly and made much of the kids playing pool with them and giving out free snacks and lollies. The were very helpful giving advice on how best to get to the various attractions and the place was spotless with some great hunting trophies on the walls – excellent holiday pics! Terry is into his football, motorsports and golf so I found him very easy to chat with and Jan was good with the local shopping tips. I’ll definately spend more time there when I’m around.”

and says, ”We have been going to benal for 10 yrs but can honestly say this year was the first time that we had been in THE VINE.The ownners terry and jan, made us feel very welcome, The bar is exceptionally clean the beer is very good and the food cooked by helen is oustanding. I for one will deffo be going back to The vine VERY SOON.”
