“My wife and I revisited ‘100 Montaditos’ in Arroyo del Miel recently. This is part of a chain but an interesting experience nevertheless. Google tells us that a montadito “ is a a tapa sized roll of bread similar to a baguette but wider and with a twist”. As the name implies there is a huge choice on the menu. It is very inexpensive (only €1 on Sunday and Wednesday). The menu is in several languages. This is a no frills establishment, there is no table service. You order, pay and collect your drinks. You fill out a form and pay for your food. Your name is announced over the PA system. You collect. There is always a buzz about the place. The servers are friendly and polite. The clientele is made up of locals and tourists and of course, children are welcome.”
