and says, ''we got a lovely friendly welcome from Shrek the minute we walked in. ideal terrace for getting the sun for most of the day and just a stroll from the beach as well as visiting most days we also went back at night and enjoyed the banter with the multi-national customers and Jo who worked the evenings. Shrek is the cook with food served during the day and its very very good. made freshly and as good as any of the spanish tapas. we'll be back next month and will be straight back to our "local"''

and says, ''Not impressed with this bar. Saw Beef & Onion bagette at 4 euros advertised - sounded nice - however when itcame no butter very little beef or filling, dry and not good value - I ordered cheesey chips, they were soggy and cheap cheese, not very nice at all. Expected bar staff to wipe table before serving food as it was dirty, they never did. Also no sauces offered and no salt or pepper on table. Had to go inside and disturb barman who was playing on pc and get the condiments. Then noticed the chair I was in was falling apart, so had to change it. The owner watched all of this and was not in the least bothered. Would not recommend or visit again!!!!!''

and says, ''Although a little tired decor wise, the bar is blessed with wonderful staff and a great atmosphere - we genuinely felt instantly at home and went there every night of our holiday. The fact that many of the people we met there were 'repeat' visitors says it all - we will certainly go back next time we are in Benalmadina!''
