OPENING HOURS:

When we are OPEN we are OPEN and when we are CLOSED we are CLOSED.

We are open all the year round - unless we have something better to do and we serve Hot and Cold Food until late - or until we get fed up!!

Having been in Spain since 1984 and hosts of THE SPORTSMAN since 1996 Dave and Lucja are well established in Benalmadena and are layed back enough help you relax on your visit

The Bar is lined with a huge collection of football shirts collected over the years and are always a talking point - As is Daves unfaltering support for Tranmere Rovers

Someone has to do it!

The Sportsmans Bar is situated just far enough back from the busy coast road in a haven of spectacular Royal Palms with five bars and a restaurant and boasts a peaceful terrace shaded by the giant trees and with views out to the twinkling mediterranean

  This bar was by far the best bar we visited whilst on holiday. The owners were very welcoming and helpful. Spent time chatting to us and got to know us

 We have just come back and spent most of our nights here. Top bar, unbelievably friendly people, I've never been to a bar where everyone sits and talks to each other like they do here. Highly recommend the Fish Finger Butty (with beans and egg!).

Cant wait to go back again for the next episode of Dave's life!

  We are regular visitors to Benalmadena and the SPORTSMAN is our favourite bar .Daves knowledge of football history is beyond belief .

Nice friendly atmosphere at all times .

Daves jokes need to be improved and funny !

This is a great place to go if you want good honest company. I do not like sport but my husband does, and it suits both of us! The food is very good for the prices you pay. The owners are lovely, really funny and down to earth. We have had a good time here for the last 3 years.
